Elizabeth Roth
Artistic Director
Elizabeth Roth is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Cleveland State University with a BA in Music she moved to NYC where she studied at the American Music & Dramatic Academy, performed in Off Broadway productions, sang in local choirs and festivals and was a part of the local music community. While in NYC she realized a life long dream and learned to play the harp studying with noted harpist Mildred Dilling.
Elizabeth has lived in Maine for 40 years. She performed throughout the state and New England with her husband, Allyn Fenn, as half of the duo Silk & Steel. Now a soloist she continues to perform, singing and accompanying herself on the harp.
Elizabeth purchased the building that is now the Bear Mountain Music Hall in 2019 with the goal of creating community, showcasing local and regional talent and providing a space for area artists to share their talent and work. Those goals have been embraced by the community with wonderful response and support. She plans to continue developing the BMMH into a thriving center for the area honoring the long history this building.
