SUMMARY:Mollyockett Chorus
DESCRIPTION:The Mollyockett Chorus returns to our summer concert series with their special brand of Barbershop music.  The chorus was organized in 1996 and is a chapter of Harmony Inc.\, an international women’s barbershop organization. The chorus is under the direction of Simon Smith.  Chorus members come from Bethel\, Casco\, Bridgton\, Raymond\, Rumford\, Windham\, Bryant Pond\, Auburn\, Norway\, Oxford\, Hebron\, and  Stoneham. \nIt’s going to be a fun night with lots of lively music!  Come join us as they fill the hall with their joy and laughter. \nAs always\, there will be a reception following.

DESCRIPTION:We continue with our Ballroom Dance Socials.  If you missed the first dance take this second opportunity to give ballroom dancing a try! If you’re new to dancing altogether\, or you’ve been dancing but weren’t sure you were ready to join a social\, this is for you! The lesson is for beginners (or anyone wanting to brush up on their basics)\, and there will be a brief overview of the general rules and expectations for ballroom social events. Don’t worry\, they aren’t hard to understand\, and I’m happy to answer questions about them beforehand or during the open dancing. \n$10 for the lesson\, $10 for the open dancing. \nNo partner or experience needed! \nDancers of all levels welcome- half the fun of socials is seeing what kind of dancers we can grow into as we get better!

SUMMARY:Mainely Clarinets & Cafe Brazil
DESCRIPTION:This week is a double header in the main hall. The evening will start with Cafe Brazil\, Peter Griggs & Steven Silverstein. Peter plays guitar and Steven joins him on a variety of wind instruments. They play a lively program of bossa nova\, samba & Brazilian jazz\, tunes you may be familiar with by well known composers. Both are highly accomplished musicians who have performed many concerts separately and together and have multiple recordings to their credits on well known labels. This wind ensemble comprised of local musicians from Bridgton\, Norway and Waterford are directed by Dick Albert. All have had careers as music teachers and have played extensively in groups ranging from local community bands to the US Navy Band. Mainely Clarinets plays an eclectic selection of jazz\, pop tunes\, hymns\, polkas and other favorites. \nJoin us for a fun\, lively evening of music. As always there will be a reception following.
